Other hockey players now contractually obligated to make appearances on shows include Chris Drury on Food 911, Martin Brodeur on Calorie Commando, and Alexander Ovechkin on Dinner: Impossible.
Helmet tap to Bleu, Blanc et Rouge who also had this up
That might not be a bad idea, I know at least 3 more people who watch the Food Network than people who know that Versus actually exists.

I agree, I think that would be a great idea. I love the Food Channel.
BTW, great post title! =D
I WANT TO SEE OVECHKIN EAT DINNER. FILLET MIGNON!!!!
*ahem*
Great idea...
I think if hockey was on my foot network, I'd get my housemates to watch more hockey since they love the food network.
Haha, I remember being at my friend's place and Jamie Oliver was on and he kept on saying it and it stuck.
Jordi - Then you should cook dinner for him ;D
I'm with Jordi, provided Ovechkin doesn't burn the filet mignon this time...
HAHA, I don't know ~a, Ovechkin strikes me as the type of guy who's idea of cooking is to open the Michelina's and put it in the microwave.
Doesn't Ovie just get his bitches to cook him dinner while he pops a cigar and drinks wodka?
Jordi - Is 'wodka' russian for 'vodka'?
I would watch it, I gotta admit. If I'm not watching hockey, chances are the Food Netword is on. I'd love to see Ovechkin go on Emeril to cook his signature dish -- 5 lobsters with lots of ketchup. (I still laugh every time I hear that on the All-Star commercial)
Netword? Oh my god.
I would definitely watch it. It'd be an excuse to get my housemates to watch hockey.
